Clinic website design in Ahmedabad
The hardest market we work in. Here the Google listing usually decides the patient, and the website only has to survive the comparison.
- A place we serve, not a place we staff
The market here
What is actually different about Ahmedabad
Competition
Clinics here already do the basics. A claimed listing and a decent website are the entry fee, not the advantage, the advantage is in treatment-level pages and review handling nobody keeps up with.
Search behaviour
Patients search by area as much as by city: Satellite, Bopal, Maninagar, Prahlad Nagar. A city-level page competes with everyone; an area-level page competes with a handful.
Language
English-first for most practices. Gujarati is worth having where the patient base is older or the practice sits outside the newer western suburbs.
Distance
Patients will not travel across Ahmedabad for routine care, but they will for a specialist. Which of those you are changes how wide the site should aim.
The honest position first
Our studio is in Mehsana. We do not have an office in Ahmedabad, we are not opening one, and we will not list this city on a page anywhere as though we sit here.
What we do is work with clinics here, and everything except photography runs exactly as well from ninety minutes away: the writing, the build, the Google listing, the monthly upkeep, the quarterly review. For photography we come to you or plan the shot list for a photographer you already work with.
If a supplier claiming a local Ahmedabad presence matters to you, we are not the right choice, and that is a fair reason to pick someone else.
Why this market is harder
In smaller towns, most clinics have not done the basics. A claimed Google listing with correct hours and real photographs still puts a practice ahead of its neighbours.
Ahmedabad does not work like that. Clinics here already have listings, already have websites, and a good number already pay someone for SEO. The basics are the price of being in the conversation, not a way of winning it.
Two things still separate practices here, and both are unglamorous.
The first is depth. Most clinic websites, even good-looking ones, have a single Services page listing twelve treatments. A practice with a real page for each of those treatments, written to what that patient searches and worries about, is answering twelve questions while its competitors answer none of them properly.
The second is persistence. Almost every clinic replies to reviews for three months and then stops. Almost every listing drifts out of date within a year: a doctor leaves, hours change, festival closures never get posted. The practices that keep both current, month after month, pull ahead slowly and then obviously.
Search here happens by area, not by city
Patients do not search “clinic in Ahmedabad”. They search near where they are: Satellite, Bopal, Prahlad Nagar, Maninagar, Chandkheda, Naranpura.
This matters for how wide a site should aim. A page trying to rank for the whole city competes with every practice in it. A page written properly about the part of the city you actually serve competes with a handful, and reaches the patients who would realistically travel to you anyway.
For a routine-care practice, that is the entire strategy. Patients will not cross Ahmedabad for a cleaning or a follow-up. For a specialist or a diagnostic centre, city-wide reach is worth pursuing, as a second phase, once the local pages are earning.
What we would look at first
Before any of this becomes a proposal, we look at what is actually there. What your listing shows today, how the site performs on a mid-range Android over mobile data, which treatment searches you can answer and which send patients elsewhere, whether anyone has replied to your reviews this year, and what the three clinics ranking above you are doing differently.
That is the free written review, it takes two working days, and it costs nothing. Occasionally it concludes that a practice’s presence is already in good shape and there is nothing worth paying us for. We say so when that is the answer.
Background reading: local SEO for clinics in North Gujarat, and website speed and patient trust: the one that decides whether a hurried patient waits.
Also serving Gandhinagar and Mehsana, where our studio is.
Also serving
Mehsana
The one place we actually sit. Close enough to walk into your clinic, which changes what the photographs look like.
Gandhinagar
A city addressed by sector rather than by landmark, which changes how patients search and what your listing has to get right.
Patan
A district headquarters with a heritage town attached, where a large share of your patients are travelling in from somewhere else and deciding before they set off.
Unjha
A trading town whose entire day is organised around the market, which decides when patients can come to you and therefore when your listing has to be right.
Siddhpur
A small town with an unusually international address book, where the person choosing your clinic is often in another country and cannot visit to judge it.
Palanpur
The referral town for a large rural district, where patients travel real distances and the question your site has to answer is whether the trip is necessary at all.
Visnagar
A metalworking and college town, which gives its clinics two patient groups almost nobody plans for: skilled manual workers and a large student population.
Kalol
An industrial town on the Ahmedabad corridor, where shift work and a daily commute decide when patients are free and who they compare you against.
